AFC Kesgrave get over the line
AFC Kesgrave narrowly got the better in the Suffolk Women’s League Championship title race, finishing top of the table on goal difference from Henley Athletic.
AFC Kesgrave are managed by Jason Pearson and Julian Broome, with Martha Broome as captain. Mia Smith and Evie-Jae Laughlin led the scoring charts with 16 goals apiece, whilst Elise Wade netted 15 times from midfield. Libby Page is another player who has had an outstanding season.
Important results in their title success included beating Henley Athletic 6-2 in their second game, as well as away matches against Aylesford Colne Rangers and Waveney Ladies, winning 2-1 in each game.
