Celtic swoop to sign Chloe Arthur

Celtic FC Women are delighted to announce that Chloe Arthur has returned to the club on a short-term deal ahead of the 2026/27 SWPL season.

A product of Celtic FC Women’s Academy, Chloe made her first team debut aged just 16 after quickly rising through the ranks following the move from her local team Erskine YFC.

A first senior Scotland call up followed at age 20, when she won her first cap against Northern Ireland in February 2015. Chloe then spent a year in Edinburgh with Hibernian, where she was part of the side that reached the 2015 Scottish Cup final.

She moved to Bristol City in English football's second tier in 2016, where her decade long spell down south began by scoring on her debut, before going on to win promotion with the Robins. She would also have spells at Birmingham City and Aston Villa followed by signing for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2022.

Chloe made more than 40 appearances across her first two seasons at Palace, helping the Eagles win WSL2 for the first time in May 2023, making 17 league appearances and scoring once along the way.

She remained a key figure during Palace's 2024-25 campaign before also helping the Eagles secure a second promotion in the last three years to WSL1 last season.

At international level, she has represented Scotland at two major tournaments, the 2017 UEFA Women's European Championship and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Celtic FC Women have also added the signature of 19-year-old England youth international Isabella Fisher, who arrives after progressing through the ranks at Arsenal's academy.

Fisher signed for Ipswich Town in August 2024 while also turning out for Watford on a separate dual-registration arrangement in the Women's National League South that same season. She re-joined Watford permanently in August 2025, and it proved a productive period as she netted 11 goals across 21 appearances for the Hornets.

These goal scoring exploits saw her earn her first professional contract and a move to Burnley in March 2026, prior to pulling on the green and white Hoops this summer.

She has earned 19 caps for England U17s since 2023, scoring eight goals along the way.  She also represented her country at both the 2024 U17 World Cup and the 2024 U17 Euros in Sweden.
