Hibernian sign Ukranian international striker

Hibernian FC Women is delighted to confirm the signing of Yuliia Khrystiuk, subject to international clearance and SFA approval.  

The Ukrainian international has agreed a two-year contract at Meadowbank Stadium, becoming Joelle Murray’s fifth summer signing.

The 23-year-old forward began her senior career with Vinnytsia-based side EMS-Podillia, with whom she earned promotion to the Ukrainian top flight. A move to the United States followed, with Khrystiuk playing for USL W League club Asheville City and collegiate outfit Old Dominion Monarchs.

The versatile attacker, who can play out wide or through the middle, brings dynamism to the Hibees’ forward-line, as well as international experience - having been capped seven times by Ukraine. Yuliia will wear the number 11 for the Hibees.

After signing with the Club, Khrystiuk said: “I’m super excited to join the group. The girls and coaching staff have been super welcoming.

“I just can’t wait to get started and be a part of this amazing Club. The goal is to help Hibs get back to winning titles and competing in European competitions.”

Upon Yuliia’s arrival in Leith, Women’s Head Coach Joelle Murray commented: “We're absolutely delighted to welcome Yuliia to Hibernian. She's a winger with unbelievable physical and technical attributes, and we believe she'll add a real attacking threat to our squad.

“As a Ukrainian international who has spent the last six years developing her game in America, she brings valuable experience alongside her quality on the ball. She's a player with the pace, creativity and work ethic to make a real impact, and we're excited to see her continue her development with us.
