Olid appointed Manchester United Head Coach

Manchester United is delighted to announce that Eva Olid has been appointed as head coach of Manchester United Women.

The 40-year-old has signed a contract until June 2028, with the option to extend for a further year.

Olid’s appointment marks the start of an exciting new era for Manchester United Women as the club embarks on a clear vision for long term, sustainable growth and success.

Important foundations have already been put in place to further support the development of homegrown talent and young players, as well as senior internationals, and establish a clear football identity. Significant investment has been made into the Academy infrastructure and facilities, underlining the ambition to build the leading youth development system in the country.

Olid, who has a reputation as a progressive and innovative leader, joins United having overseen the most successful period in Heart of Midlothian Women’s history. She played a pivotal role in the club’s transformation, leading Hearts from the second tier of Scottish football to a historic first Premier League title, which they clinched in May.

Her impressive achievements were recognised when she received both the SWPL’s best manager of the season and PFA Scotland SWPL Manager of the Year awards.
